Terms of Service

Welcome to BrushCam! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the BrushCam web application, including all features, content, and services we provide (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using BrushCam, you agree to the Terms below. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility & Parent Responsibilities

• BrushCam accounts must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian ("Parent").
• The Parent is responsible for supervising all use by children and for ensuring they brush safely.
• Parents agree to keep login credentials and the 4-digit parent PIN confidential. Children should not be given the parent PIN or allowed to approve their own brushing sessions.

2. Service Description

BrushCam records short brushing videos, tracks reward balances, displays brushing tips, and provides a parent dashboard to review sessions. We may update or modify features at any time to improve the experience. While we aim for high availability, the Service may be interrupted for maintenance, technical issues, or events beyond our control.

3. Acceptable Use

• Use BrushCam only for personal, non-commercial family use.
• Do not upload content that is harmful, unlawful, or infringes upon others' rights.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, probe, or disrupt the Service or our infrastructure.
• Only record videos of your own children or children for whom you have legal consent.

4. Rewards & Financial Responsibility

BrushCam helps families track brushing rewards. All reward budgets, payouts, and real-world payments are the Parent's responsibility. BrushCam does not send automatic payments; parents remain fully responsible for fulfilling rewards promised to their children.

5. Medical Disclaimer

BrushCam provides brushing reminders and educational tips but does not provide dental or medical advice. Always consult a licensed dental professional for specific oral health recommendations.

6. Intellectual Property

The BrushCam name, logos, interface, and original content are owned by BrushCam or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our content without prior written permission.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if we detect misuse, fraudulent activity, or violations of these Terms. Parents may delete their account at any time. Upon termination, any stored videos or data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

BrushCam is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of rewards, data, or use. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid (if any) by the parent within the 12 months prior to the claim.

9. Updates to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify parents via email or in the dashboard. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
